RNC8 and Other Anti-War Protesters Court Solidarity
Ongoing. Check for specific dates.
From Court Solidarity of Community RNC Arrestee Support Structure : "We need more court watchers! Please continue to support RNC arrestees! The days of direct action ae over (for now), but the legal support work has just begun for the people who survived the police brutality and mass arrests in the streets of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Those arrested are going up before the court and the state and facing serious crminal charges for expressing their dissent during the RNC. We are organizing a strong show of community solidarity in the courtrooms to show our support for our friends and are calling on you to be part of that process." Just show up or contact us to be a courtwatch bottomliner.

WAMM Statement on RNC Protest

We would like to thank and praise the brave people who marched and ralllied at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in protest of war and deprivation of domestic human needs.

People from across the Twin Cities, Minnesota and the nation came together to peaceably assemble, exercise freedom of speech, and petition the government for redress of grievances in the face of the militarization of law enforcement, and illegal intimidation tactics. Threats of arrest and detention, tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber pullets did not stop you on your way to the Republican National Convention.

To all of you who wanted to peacefully exercise your constitutional rights, you have our profound admiration and deep gratitude for a job well done.
