WHY WE SAY OUT OF AFGHANISTAN NOW!
1. The invasion and 8-year occupation of the sovereign state of Afghanistan are immoral and contrary to international law.
2. Seventy-five percent of Afghans support an Afghan political solution without outside interference; Afghans will never accept an occupation, which aims at increasing U.S. military and political domination in the region.
3. The escalation of U.S. troops will cause increasing numbers of civilian casualties, exacerbate the plight of the Afghan people, and undercut diplomacy and development.
4. The war is spreading to Pakistan, which is leading to a dangerous destabilization in the region and increased hostility toward the U.S.
5. There is no military solution to terrorism.
6. The presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan fuels the conflict; withdrawal of U.S. troops would result in a decrease in conflict and the other horrors of war.
7. Endless wars deprive the U.S. of funds to provide for domestic needs -- investment in the infrastructure, jobs, health care, education, housing, and environmental protection.

Women Against Military Madness
WHY WE SAY OUT OF IRAQ NOW!
1. The occupation of Iraq is immoral and illegal, and a large majority of Iraqis and Americans want the U.S. to leave Iraq.
2. The continued presence of the U.S. military and private contractors will result in more destabilization and increased deaths on both sides.
3. It is projected that as many as 50,000 U.S. troops will remain in Iraq “for a substantial time” beyond 2011 as “advisory and assistance brigades,” with no reduction in their combat power. Combat troops under any other name are still combat troops. There is no announced plan for withdrawal of private contractors.
4. The occupation has not provided security for the Iraqi people, and the majority of Iraqis are still without electricity, clean water, or medical care. Also, the five million refugees and internally displaced persons have not been able to return to their homes.
5. Only when the U.S. leaves will the Iraqi people be able to reassert control over their country and begin to rebuild their lives and their communities.
6. The war and occupation have turned people against the U.S., isolating us from other countries and peoples of the world, and thereby making our own lives less secure.
7. The horrendous human cost of the war is immeasurable and the economic cost is unsustainable.
