About WAMM

WAMM Annual Report Song

by Phyllis Goldin

Presented at WAMM's Annual Meeting, March 31, 2001

Chorus:
There will be sunshine,
Such lovely sunshine,
Behind the clouds of war.
It's the sunshine,
The wish for sunshine,
That WAMM keeps working for.

Another year gone:
Jubilee 2000.
But the world is wracked with pain,
Iraqi children still lost to sanctions,
And WAMM speaks up again.

Cops who are sadistic,
Arms around the earth.
WAMM is realistic:
Justice must come first.

(Chorus)

May the poorest nations
Be forgiven of their debts.
While peacemakers have patience,
There will not be regrets.

A strong campaign continues,
WAMM determined and unending.
Give bread not stones, reduce
Crazy military spending.

(Chorus)

A place for Palestinians,
A place for everyone
Whose homeland has been taken,
By those who think they've won.

WAMM disobeys the gag rule,
WAMM puts the truth to print.
And now WAMM is regarded
As deserving censorship.

(Chorus)
