Steering WAMM

Women Against Military Madness is searching for steering committee members who will guide WAMM through the coming years. These twelve to fifteen WAMM members work together at monthly meetings to shape the direction of WAMM programs and goals, hire and support staff, and oversee the budget and financial operations of the organization. The two-year commitment begins at the annual meeting in mid-March, 2003.

If you meet any of the following criteria, the nominating committee members want to hear from you:

Are you a brand-new member, seeking to develop leadership skills, looking for an entry point into the internal dynamics of WAMM?

Are you a longtime member, hoping to refresh your interest and animate your activism?

Do you identify with a community of color in addition to sharing WAMM ideals?

Do you think of yourself as a labor or student activist?

Are you part of an immigrant community?

We believe that you would bring unique perspectives to the WAMM steering committee. Please call the WAMM office or a nominating committee member to ask questions or express your interest in serving on the steering committee.
