To the tune of “Do the Hoochie Coochie”
Bush bring the troops home now
WAMM will show you how
You put the wrong foot out
What a mess Iraq is now
Talk to Cindy Sheehan
No one speaks as she can
That’s what it’s all about
WAMM sent a crowd to D.C.
Folks from all across the country
Opposed the war with Cindy
And the Goldstar family
September’s massive protest
Bushies paid no notice
That’s what they’re all about
So many walks for peace
Despite arthritic knees
Even on Mothers’ Day
WAMM’s protests will not cease
Let us take a birthday break
At the Black Dog Café
That’s what 50 is all about
More domestic bites
Undoing welfare rights
Workers and the poor
Will have no heat or lights
Fund human need
Not corporate greed
That’s what it’s all about
Rings for Iraqi dead
Too few tears are shed
Rings for lost Americans
Of them too little said
Recruiters still recruiting
In schools war goes acourting
Peace studies are shut out
Palestine made whole
Is a worthy goal
That will not be accomplished
By the building of a wall
They’ll find a recipe
That will set them free
If others just get out
The Union’s in a state
That ain’t so great
WAMM heard from Polly Mann
Who set the record straight
Lila Lipscombe also
Sorts what’s true from false, oh,
They know what it’s all about
You put your left hand out
You put your left foot out
Whatever truth is left
Is what WAMM’s all about
Don’t do the Hoochie Coochie
With Abramoff or Cheney
They’re on their way out
Another year gone by
WAMM remembers why
Assertion without guns
Is the hero’s lullaby
Here’s to Martin Luther King
Coretta how we sing
That’s what WAMM’s all about
